kinda work

We sold Your Cousin From Boston as a TV series!

In 2021, Your Cousin From Boston commercial director Win Bates turned to me on-set and said: “I think this could be a show.”

So we got to work.

Led by Emmy-winning screenwriter Donick Cary (Parks & Rec, New Girl, Silicon Valley) and Gregory Hoyt—the actor who plays Your Cousin—our team dedicated nights and weekends to developing the series. In what felt like a dream come true, I helped pitch a room full of studio execs on the character.

One of the Big Five studios bought the option in 2023…right before Hollywood ground to a halt.

Much like the streets of Southie, selling a show is a slow-moving, labyrinthine process that could just as easily end up in a green light as a dead end. We’ll see what actually transpires in the next few months.

While the full pitch is confidential, please find a short preview below:

13 Days: The Musical

Rich Silverstein had a vision—a darkly comedic Broadway musical based on the Cuban Missile Crisis. The problem? Pitching a musical is a prohibitively expensive undertaking.

Channeling my passion for generative AI exploration, I partnered with Rich to create 13 Days: The Musical—an AI-aided exhibition/artistic experiment which weaved cutting-edge AI video and musical assets with historical documentary footage from the 1960s. The project premiered at The Cube in downtown San Francisco to rave reviews and national press coverage.

The Subway Gods

I’m terrible at New York, but so-so at generating AI art. Here’s a set from an AI-themed open mic night I performed with my wife (also a copywriter) to prove it. Praise the subway gods.
